RIGF 2021 preliminary program has been published

January 31 marked the deadline for discussion topic proposals for the 11th Russian Internet Governance Forum RIGF 2021, scheduled to take place online on April 7-9. We thank everyone who shared their ideas.

Thirty-six people sent proposals, putting forward more than 50 interesting topics for discussion at RIGF 2021, most of them for the Regulation section (17), Internet Governance (11) and Cybersecurity (10). A lot of the proposed topics were included in the forum program.

The preliminary program has already been published on the forum’s website. Participants will discuss issues related to regulation and personal data sovereignty; investigation of cybercrime; specifics of the relationship between the state and internet platforms in Russia and abroad as well as protection of users’ interests when interacting with internet platforms. On the last day of the forum, participants will discuss ethical issues related to the use of artificial intelligence and cooperation between governments, technical communities, and manufacturers of software to strengthen cybersecurity.

RIGF 2021 will also include the award ceremony of Virtuti Interneti and a lecture by the winner of the internet order. The winner will be announced right at the forum.

Preliminary registration is required to take part in the forum. Participation is free.
